After a serious accident on a horse bought out of a sale with the idea of starting to Campdraft, I was introduced to Alan and Kathy Hannaford. This lead to the purchase of Hannaford Stud "Touch Of Class" by Robin Hood.

Purchasing a horse from the Hannafords was an investment into a system highly disciplined to breeding horses that are phenotypically excellent, athletic, cool-minded and trainable that when asked the right questions, will answer. All this is backed by years of competition and breeding at the top level.

I have since purchased an additional Robin Hood mare and successfully competed in my first Campdraft with a creditable 82 points to miss the Maiden final by one point in only my second run of competition.

I cannot recommend the advice of Alan and Kathy along with Steven Hart more highly.

We have been involved with Hannaford Stud Horses now for the past six years and in that time have enjoyed their feel and softness. They are the most trainable and predicatable young horses we have ever started.

After purchasing my first filly sired by Robin Hood three years ago, "Illusion II" has gone on to win two Novice Campdrafts. I have subsequently purchased another filly by Robin Hood.  This horse is extremely athletic, exhibiting a degree of balance and co-ordination that, combined with her temperament, show much promise with respect to future training.

Our family first met with Alan and Kathy Hannaford some ten years or more ago when we attended a Campdraft School at Hannford Stud Braidwood.

Over the years we have found Alan to be a very professional, experienced horseman who is very passionate about breeding the highest quality horses suitable for Campdrafting.

At all times we have found Alan to be very honest and willing to share his vast knowledge and experience. Alan has been a great inspiration and role model for our two boys whom really respect and admire him. Al also has a great sense of humour!

Alan has been a real help in making sure we have had safe, quality horses to allow us to pursue our chosen sport of Campdrafting.
